We are growing we had 24 people statewide on the call.

Topic for discussion and concerns. Current leadership statement “Our Power doesn’t come from the grievances or our contracts. Our power comes from taking action as Teamsters.”  How do you feel about that statement? Do we not need a contract or the grievance process to be powerful, and can we be powerful only by actions? Do you think it’s possible, from our experience with our employer, that we could obtain a raise, job security, and fair treatment in our workplace without a contract and grievance process?

Any news on your campus?

September 12, 2025- RECAP

We had our first Red Round Table Talk and it was a great success. Everyone who participated had the opportunity to speak, ask questions, and truly have the floor as brothers and sisters in Local 2010. It was inspiring to meet coworkers from different campuses, hear about what is happening at their locations, and share our workplace experiences. We look forward to our next meeting and encourage everyone to spread the word as we continue to come together, collaborate on important issues, and share both concerns and positive experiences in our workplaces.

Membership Meeting Recap

We also had our Teamster Membership meeting the following day Thursday September 11, 2025. The Leadership failed to announce and inform the members of the upcoming nominations for officers for the leadership election for Teamsters Local 2010, which is this October through December timeframe. We want to inform the members that any member that has paid dues up to date and has been a due paying member for the past 24 consecutive months and in good standing is eligible to run for office. The announcement should have been placed on the Union update bulletin boards on every campus announcing upcoming elections with clear instructions on how the process works. Here is the link to election announcement rules of the International Brotherhood Teamsters Constitution Bylaws. Rules for 2025-2026 IBT Election – International Brotherhood of Teamsters. We also are sending the attachment rendered to Our leader from the Election Supervisor with specific instructions, which were not carried out, on most campuses we urge you to go to your Union Bulletin Boards and check for the posting of the upcoming nominations for Delegate and Local Officers Elections scheduled for October 4, 2025. This is the way a leadership would run a white ballot claiming they had no opposition to run an election, and the membership would not know that they have an opportunity to either run for office or choose a new leadership.

We encourage you to show up to the in-person next Membership Meeting on October 4, 2025. The meeting has been recorded with the office of election supervisor to start at 10:00 AM For the North 7730 Pardee Lane, Oakland, Ca 94621. In the South, it is also at 10:00 AM at 9900 Flower Street, Bellflower, Ca 90706. Nominations start right after membership meetings.

Ballots go out to the members November 3, 2025, and the election ballot count will take place on December 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM 7730 Pardee Lane, Oakland, Ca 94621. Please be advised there is also an International Delegate Elections our Leadership has opted to run that election along with our Local Officers Election. You should receive two separate ballots.

You have only been aware of the current Leadership “Unity Slate” over the past 11 years, we want to inform you and share there is another option on the ballot “Members First Slate“. Ballots will be mailed out on November 3rd, please keep an eye out and return yours as soon as possible.
