Our goal is to ensure that every worker, whether union-represented or not, has access to the resources, information, and advocacy they need to defend their rights. We stand as a partner to workers, promoting accountability within unions and creating a fairer, more just workplace for all.
- Protecting Workers’ Rights:
We seek to hold unions accountable by making sure workers are aware of their rights under union contracts and applicable labor laws at both the state and federal levels. - Strengthening Union Representation:
We advise workers to encourage their unions to act with urgency and commitment in enforcing contracts and providing fair representation to all members. - Workplace Education and Advocacy:
We aim to educate workers on how to build strong cases and effectively advocate for their rights in the workplace.
WE ARE NOT AN ANTI-UNION ORGANIZATION, SO FIRST AND FOREMOST, WE ENCOURAGE WORKERS TO JOIN THEIR UNION, AS THE LOCAL UNION. HOWEVER, DUE TO UNFORTUNATE RESULTS THAT HAVE PLAGUED MANY WORKERS BY THEIR LOCAL UNIONS, SOME LOCALS HAVE BEEN LAX IN THEIR DUTIES OF FAIR REPRESENTATION OF THEIR MEMBERS (AND AGENCY FEE PAYERS). THIS CAUSES ANTI-UNION FORCES TO POINT THESE RESULTS OUT TO REINFORCE THEIR LIES ABOUT UNIONS BEING USELESS, AND THUS, UNNECESSARY.
Union Represented Workers are stronger and safer in their workplace as represented workers in the Union. “AT WILL” is never a great outcome as a worker you are never safe and promised nothing for a secure future in retirement and benefits. Being in a Union secures your workplace rights as an employee and gives you a voice in the workplace.
